Status Community Guidelines

Status is home to fandom storytelling that can be emotionally rich and thematically bold. These guidelines explain what content is permitted when handled responsibly, and what is never allowed on Status.

Mature Themes — Permitted

Fandom storytelling frequently engages with morally complex and emotionally difficult subject matter. Such content is permitted when handled responsibly.

• Emotional or romantic intimacy at a high narrative level — references to affection, longing, or implied intimacy between characters without explicit description.
• Mild violence or stylized battle scenes — including stylized fighting, ability or power use, and blood. Content must not cross into graphic depiction.
• Artistic exploration of dark emotional themes, including survival, trauma recovery, and moral conflict.
• Fictional depictions of crime — including murder, theft, and corruption — without glorification and without real-world instructional detail.
• Villainous or morally ambiguous characters, including canon villains, provided harmful actions are not celebrated or romanticized. Roleplaying characters from dark source material is permitted, but their original explicit or sexual canon content must not be reproduced on Status.

Prohibited Content (NSFW and NSFL)

Sex and nudity

• Visible genitals or breasts, on any character, in any style
• Sexual acts, real or simulated, plus posing, framing, or crops built around them
• Written descriptions of sexual acts
• Fluids and waste as fetish material
• Canonically minor characters stay non-sexual, no matter what the fandom does with aged-up versions
• Adult–minor relationships, or age-gap dynamics that normalize them
• Incest
• Sexual violence, coercion, or exploitation — "dark fantasy" isn't a workaround

Violence and gore

No detailed gore, mutilation, or dismemberment — entrails, exposed organs, realistic injuries. Also no cannibalism, torture, or violence toward animals. Canon villains don't get a pass.

Self-harm, suicide, and eating disorders

No glorification, aesthetic, or jokes. No thinspo, ana/mia, or self-harm imagery.

Allowed: these themes inside a recovery arc.

Hate and extremism

Voicing a canonical character's worldview inside a critical or narrative frame is fine. Using a character as a mouthpiece for sincere real-world hate is not.
